Giving: Tithes and Offerings
In the New Testament, Christians are taught to give willingly with "a Joyful heart" (2 Corinthians 9:7) and in "keeping with income." (1 Corinthians 16:2) Although Old Testament Israelites gave three separate taxes totaling over 23% of an individuals income, the modern day church only emphases one of those laws indicating a minimum of 10%. Giving above that level is for offerings to those in need such as: help offices, homeless shelters, missions, African water wells, and more.
It is with a cheerful heart, that FCN members strive to meet that 10% minimum standard and give offerings beyond as God as blessed.
